After losing my daughter and trying to get into Heaven myself, I really know what deep suffering is. If you go back hundreds of thousands of years, to the beginning of humanity, you can see that humans are built to endure suffering. Because if we weren’t, there wouldn’t be any human beings at all.
Our body, our soul and our psyche can endure a lot of suffering, and they can even transcend and alchemize that pain, turning it into strength, purpose, light and hope for others. There is a lot of suffering in the world, and it has always been one of the biggest themes in human life. The question is: Why do we suffer? The Buddha has a beautiful answer: “To grow and to serve.” Every religion speaks about suffering, but also about endurance and perseverance, because on the other side is where the reward is. One day it’s all over and you get to go back home. You drop this earth costume, and you will experience the most beautiful, ultimate peace you have ever felt.
But in the meantime, why wait? Maybe you can experience this feeling of interconnectedness and unconditional love a little sooner, even though you are suffering now. Because pain carries meaning. Pain has the potential to transform, so once you start putting this pain into positive action, you will see that it begins to shift. It shifts because it’s natural for our souls, not only to experience suffering, but also to transmute it. We see examples of this every single day. Many people are driven by pain: the pain of loneliness, the pain of true hunger, the pain of loss. They understand how it feels. They fully empathize because they have lived those feelings. And after you have overcome, after you have transformed your pain into a purpose, charity or hobby that you can share with others, then you have found the light after the long, dark tunnel. Like Nietzsche said: “To live is to suffer; to survive is to find some meaning in the suffering.”
You are stronger than you feel. Because trust me, I felt so horrible, so beyond broken after suddenly losing my only child, that I felt I could die at any given moment for many months on end. There was nothing left of me. I stopped eating. I couldn’t move. I couldn’t do anything anymore because I was sick on every level. But look at me now, I am still here. This means that apparently there is a way, that there is a possibility, and that you are much stronger than you feel.
But you have to believe it, and you have to change the way you think. Because your mind and your way of thinking affects everything. They affect your whole energetic field as well as all your future experiences. So be mindful of your thoughts. Observe your thinking. If there is anything in there that is not serving your highest good, for example thoughts like: “I will never be able to do that. I’m never getting out of this situation. There is no end to this. I’m not strong enough. My life doesn’t matter”, then let those thoughts go.
Instead, try to find little truths about yourself and your life that are positive. Things that you love. Things that you are grateful for. And you will see reality slowly bend into something more positive and fruitful.
Be your own biggest supporter because God is always cheering you on, just like your angels and your ancestors in the Heavenly realm. You really deserve to have an abundant and positive life experience. You have this life now, and at some point it will all be over. You will be so free then, but you can also feel free now. Please try it. Free yourself from your mind. I believe in you.
